    Hello all,

I just joined; I have found a lot of helpful info in the past years and thought I would post my stereo upgrade. I had the stock non-JBL Entune (Pioneer). Below is what I upgraded to:

Front Stage: Morel Tempo Ultra 692 MKII (6x9 component set)
Rear Stage: Morel Tempo Ultra Integra 602 MKII
    Sub: Mille Pro Series 10" shallow-mount 2-ohm
    Amp: Morel MPS 5.950 AMP
Head Unit: SONY XAV-9500ES (Plug and Play Bundle from Trail Grid Pro)

I did a full sound treatment, including the floor, rear wall, inner and outer doors, and door cards.

Like others on this forum, the 692 MK2's fit - barely; with 80 mil sound deadening on the door, and adapter, with a silicone baffle, they fit. ide say about 2/8" clearance to the back of the magnet to the glass.

Regarding the Sony ES9500, the TrailGrid Pro unit was awesome to install - they did all the wiring harness so it was plug-and-play!

Supporting the audio signal to the Morel Amp (This Amp is super clean and warm sounding), I went with KnuKonceptz Krystal Twisted. However, if I had to do it over again, I would go with the Krux Interlaced - for sure. The Krystal cables are thick! and having 3 pairs to run, + all other wiring, it was a real challenge to find a spot to run them. But I was determined to make it work, and the results were worth it.

I did happen to run the Morel speaker upgrade off of the stock Entune; sounded worse than the stock. However, this is what I expected as the Morel speakers need lots power to perform. hooking up that MPS 5.950 opened everything up; the Sony ES9500 helped a lot also lol.

Lastly, the sub! the Hertz Mille Pro 10" shallow 2ohm sub. So far I'm impressed. For a shallow 10, it has great SQ (im not going for SPL). the Hertz unit is essentially the same as the JL Audio 10TW3; when JL's patent expired, Hertz and a few others started making their version.

I'm going to try to post some pictures of my install here shortly. I just thought this post may help others plan their system upgrades.

    Dyllie
