Just talked to my dealer. He told me at least up here in Canada that for a 22 Pro there will be no more 6MT Electric Lime made.

I know it’s a personal choice but if you could order one I’m curious what everyone would order and resale value down the road in 4-5 years

I don't think value would differ much between them, of the current Pro Colors l would probably pick MGM

You will technically lose 1k per year of ownership, but these are not normal times. Ymmv

I’m not overly worried about losing money because when the market settles down who know where the prices will be. I’m just curious if Toyota has stopped making 6MT PRO’s in Lime if it may hold its value a bit better then the others

That actually makes a ton of sense. Manual transmission AND a color that people viciously love or hate = significant drop in sales from the low number of MTs already made/sold.

Toyota has halted production by 17 percent for at least the next year due to the chip crises. Btw, that's 150k less cars/trucks/suv produced. Its likely that Toyota's will hold their value.

I wish they were. Where I am you can’t find them. You can order one and wait and you may or not get one.

Consider me a fanatic! Sure beats gear hunting or GTA (I do live in Portland, OR, after all). Took me 5ish months to get mine, and it was the last one being sent to my area of Oregon (got it Nov '21). Have already had randos and the dealership offer me $ for it.

Even tough I think Toyota may only make 20% 6MT vs auto the people that want them will pay a premium for them.

It won't. Buy what you want. Every color is same value because next year... the TRD gets the same colors!

Some colors might actually hurt the resale. Lime IMHO would be one of them. Bold colors are personal taste and I have had a lot of friends and family not purchase a car based on the bright color. It also dates your vehicle. Think Seafoam green from the 90s. People see that now and say "Wow that is such a 90s color". Just my .02 cents.

I think this is indisputable. My wife wouldn’t support lime, or even the latest blue for that matter.

I am not really the biggest fan of the latest Tacoma Blue either.

At that point, it is likely you are only a year or two from it becoming a popular color AGAIN…

I think of sea foam green as popular in the early1960’s - so it seems now due any minute…

    Yea. Blurple.

I will admit that Googling "Blurple" brings up a sexy Shelby GT500 and McLaren P1 - both of which the taco is not, lol. They are also a high end pearl variant of the color. Also looks like that one has the new '22 front bumper with the "frosted" paint. So does mine and many others :puke:

Anyways, as for the Pro, Electric Lime Green or nothing. :crapstorm:
