2022 OEM TRD Pro Grille - Same as 2021?

Hi everyone,

I picked up my 2022 TRD Pro on Saturday, and unfortunately on the drive home I hit a bird and it put a hole in my grille. I called my local dealer this morning asking about the replacement cost and they told me $805 which seems absurd. I've seen the 2021 Pro grilles for sale on various dealer parts websites for significantly less, so can anyone tell me if the 2021 will work on my 2022? I wasn't able to find any 2022 Pro grilles. For reference, the PN I'm looking at for the 2021 is 5310104070B2.

The 2022 grille is the same as the 2021. Here is where I got mine from:

This seems like a brilliant option! Do you know if the TOYOTA lettering is a removable piece? Would love to retain the silver lettering from my original grille.

 

I'm pretty sure it is but I haven't actually opened the box yet. I'll check tonight and let you know, however someone might be able to confirm before.

 

$805? It's gotta be including labor.

You would think...afterwards he said I'd probably want to pay to have them install it too because the pre-collision would need to be re-programmed. I might be new to the platform but I wasn't born yesterday

 

God Dame! Next time, they'll start charging for "stepping in fee" for entering the dealer's building.

 

Quick update on this - it looks like PT228-35200-AA is actually what I need (silver lettering instead of black on PT228-35200-20). And it's only ~$185 online!

 

At least it didn't hit the garnish.
