Howdy! I’m a new owner with a 2021 SR Tacoma. I’m looking to do quite a few modifications. However just to get started I want to upgrade the suspension, tires, and wheels.
1.) what suspension does everyone prefer? Heard the Bilsteins rust quickly.
2.) 265/75r16’s any issues on stock truck? Probably throw them on before the lift arrives.
3.) Can you put trd wheels on an SR or does it really mess with the tmps sensors like I’m reading? Will these stock rims work with bilsteins/fox or what offset is needed?
    Appreciate all the help already.

Not an expert by any means but I will throw my two cents in to get this more exposure. Congratulations on the new truck! The stickies and post histories in the suspension and wheel & tire forums have a lot of good information on these topics.

    1. Depends on budget, use case and what kind of ride characteristics you like. I went with 5100s and am happy with the performance and value. Haven't had mine long enough to comment on rust. @memario1214 at Hot Shot Off Road could probably help with suspension selection and longevity.
    2. I haven't seen anyone have problems with that size on stock wheels.
    3. Not sure on the sensors but I imagine you just swap your originals over to the new wheels unless there is something specifically different about an SR. OEM wheels should be fine, you generally only get problems when you go to a lot of negative offset and wheel spacers. Even then it is the body mounts and mud flaps that are a problem and not the suspension.
