I have a 2021 TRD Sport (AKA Big Red). I want to add a switch for a scoop light. Are the CH 4x4 switches with blue backlights close to OEM? Mine look kind of light blue, not quite white.

Yes, you have to use a relay else switch will melt.

I plan to use a relay. I'm just trying to match OEM as closely as possible. I've seen two slightly different 'OEM style' switches, one is 32.54 x 22mm and the other is 39 x 21mm. I think mine are the shorter ones. I'll check tomorrow. I hate it when OEMs use 'the same thing, just a little different'.

It’s either ch4x4 or aob that has a “new Toyota blue” that is the best match.

CH4x4 is not a close match at all. It’s a true “blue” while the stock switches are that light ice blue. AOB switches are somewhat close, closer anyways. Nothing is a perfect match though, unfortunately.

I recommend the AOB switch over the CH4×4 switch. The blue of my 2Lo mod switch made by AOB was a way better match to the factory dash lights than the CH4×4 switch is.

Highly recommend the AoB switches. The light blue backlighting is a near exact match to the OEM switches in my view, and in the daytime the only way you can tell they're not OEM is that lettering is crisper and better quality than the OEM switches. They have two LEDs so part of the switch can be lit up (if you tire it into a switch linked into the backlight circuit in the truck) and the other part can come on when an accessory is active.

Only downside I've had is the backlighting behind smaller text doesn't show up the greatest compared with the logos/icons on the switches, and I am considering swapping the LED illumination wires so the main icon stays lit with the rest of the backlighting and the lettering lights up when a switch is activated.

AOB switch color looks good, but they're "tall" switches. Looks like I can't have everything.

It's a big site with lots of switches. They definitely have the factory small and large switches. My 2lo mod switch is a a small and fit perfectly in the lower dash.
