    Hello TW,

What is your average MPG on your 2020 Tacomas?
I used to get 19 to 20 MPG on my old 2017, now I get between 16 and 17 MPG.

    Thanks

Shouldnt be a big difference in mpgs between 2017 and 2020. Identical drivetrain, unless you went from 2wd to 4wd.

Maybe its just new and is not broken in yet? My mileage went up a bit after few thousand km.

I get 16.5 in a TRD PRO, Mostly freeway around 80mph. With my surfboards on top it drops to 14.5. 3500 miles on the truck so far.

OP, the truck is probably not broken in yet. I did not see a mileage improvement until 7500 miles. It is actually still getting better for me at 20K+ miles.

I usually get about 17-18 mpg for everyday driving (mix between city and highway). On longer drives with pretty much 100% highway driving, I average about 20-21 mpg.

Been getting a steady over 20 mpg as long as the truck is not towing or carrying a load.

Just chiming in to agree with the others who stated that it should get better as the engine breaks in.

I've had 3 3rd Gen Tacomas and I used Fuelly to track mpg for all of them.

    2016 TRD Sport 2wd - 20.2 mpg
    2017 TRD Off Road 4x4 - 17.9 mpg
    2020 TRD Sport 4x4 - 20.0 mpg

I only have about 1700 miles on my 2020, so we'll see if that number goes up or down as I put more miles on it. I think my others stayed pretty consistent, other than dropping a bit in the winter.

I am getting 16-17 city 18-19 hwy. Worst than I expected for sure but seems on par with what many others around here see. I have only 1300 miles.

Biggest thing i've noticed so far is how well the a/t is shifting. When it was new it was very busy, now far more normal like my 01 tundra. Truck seems to cruise up hills much easier without constant hunting, before it'd feel like it was bogging down, and it would down shift, a few seconds later it'd upshift then repeat the cycle till on flat/level roads.
