I recently purchased a 2019 TRD Sport and I love it. I considered switching to the Pro style grill but didn’t want to void the warranty on my sensors or anything by moving it. Plus I also heard that it can give you constant problems after you move it down to where Pro grill garnish goes (beeping, flashing, not working, etc).

I’d like to swap out my grill for the new 2020 grill (horizontal wavy dark plastic look). Does anyone know if they are interchangeable?

Seems like it would be an easy swap out especially since the Toyota sensor stays in the middle. I’m just wondering if the size of the sensor changed or the dimensions of the grill changed.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if it causes any issues to the TSS just by replacing and reattaching the sensor to the same place? I’ve heard it freaks out when you adjust the placement, but if I’m just putting it right back where it went before then I don’t see why it would be an issue.

No issues either. I disconnected the battery before the installation. And, I used the same video jtaco11 kindly embedded. The tricky part when ordering, Toyota wants to sell you the whole grille surround "color matched", and not just the grille part. I bought mine off a member who installed the Pro grille. See here for part #: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wtb-2020-oem-grille.640393/page-2#post-22162743

Not much on the 07 yet. 18 is gone, but was a greata truck. TRD Pro grill, Gator FX3, Homelink mirror, Black out badges & exhaust tip, Remote start. Future TRD exhaust, skid plate.
I asked at my dealer about the warranty on my 2018 Sport if I switched from a TRD Pro to a 2020 Sport grill and they said any non-standard grill for that model year would not be covered. pfffftttt prepare yourself for Toyota dealer BS. But I do like the 2020 grill.

Looks so much better! I'm thinking about selling my TRD Pro grille (trd sport taco) for the new 2020 trd sport/OR grille.

How much did the 2020 trd sport/or grille cost?

And is there a website where I can possibly buy one? Lol

They swap right out, I went the other way and put the 2018 grill on my 2020, no TSS issues.

I like how your Tacoma sits. Did you put a lift/leveling kit? Also what size tires? Have a 2020 SR5, looking to put a small lift on it.
