    Hey there, first time posting.

I recently purchased a 2020 off road. I've been adding small things here and there, such as fogs and ditch lights.

I've been working on doing the installation for the ditch lights, which are baja designs s2 pros (https://www.bajadesigns.com/products/S2-Pro-LED-Light-Black.asp).

With this, I bought a Cali Raised switch panel (https://caliraisedled.com/collectio...016-2020-toyota-tacoma-oem-style-switch-panel).

I didn't read the product description before I bought it (well, I read most of it, but not all the stuff at the bottom, which is my fault), and have found out that it says:

DOES NOT FIT 2020 TACOMA IF IT DOES NOT HAVE THE CUBBY ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE STEERING WHEEL.

This is the first tacoma I've seen that hasn't had this cubby.

Does anyone know of any possibilities to get a switch panel for my type of truck? I'm struggling to find any products that are specifically for a truck without this cubby.

I didn't even notice that this was something that my model was missing when I purchased the vehicle.

The switch panel for a truck with the cubby has 4 screws in it that you are able to use to mount the switch panel. Mine, however, has no screws at all. There are "pre-drilled" holes, in that the outline for the hole is there (as you might be able to see in the picture), but that's it.

Is there maybe some way I could Macgyver this to working? Or should I continue looking for a switch panel that is going to work? Like I said, I haven't had any luck finding a switch panel for without this cubby.

    Thanks for the help!!

Hmm, didn't even think about this. I'd hold tight I'm sure they'll start making an option as the cubby will cease has gone way of the dodo just like the driver's side bed pocket.

I suppose that's a possibility as an alternative solution, I just liked the currently existing location :(

So what you can do is to buy the 2018-2018 left side panel (16-17 had the rear window switch there, that wont work) but then you will remove your auto high beam switch and just tuck it back behind the dash. Its a neat feature, but its buggy as hell.

From there you can move your traction control to where the auto high switch would normally be. Then you have the same switches as the older models and the older switch panel will fit. Then you can put your 3 switch panel in.

On the older models, our traction control switch is in the overhead console, but you have the SOS button there... this may also cause some issues using the meso panel up there since yours is different than what those were designed for.

Do you perhaps have a link to that panel? I seem to only get outside panels from searching.

That might be a possibility though. I never turn on auto high beam (I'm very particular, I don't want my truck trying to be smarter than it is, and I only want it to do exactly as it's told), so tucking it in the back is totally fine. Definitely might be a problem about the SOS button, but worth looking into.

I should be getting my light bar from cali raised sometime next week, they told me I could pop one of the blanks off the oem panel and pop in the full size light bar switch there.

I am hoping this works, if not back to the drawing board.

You have two blanks in that panel. Order two switches of your preferred type and pop them in, don't over think it.

I just ordered the cubby. Anyone want the one pictured to experiment on? It has 620 miles of use.

I've done enough light set ups, the part linked from toyota, don't use the cubby, and get the switch plate that fits in its place will work perfectly fine. I found this thread looking for the same info. How to make use of that space.

That said I have the tools to mod my plate if I want, just not sure I want to do it yet.

The auto highbeam is something ill never use so stuff that away will be fine.

I'm not sure why you can't just order the cubby if you want the bolt in panel so much. Its Part Number: 5544604081C0

It snaps in, just push out the buttons from behind, put on some leather gloves, stick fingers into the empty holes and yank straight out. Install is just snap the new one in place.

Meso also makes a variety of aftermarket panels that will fit this space and apparently you can custom order one to have whatever you can dream up.

Oh sweet, someone who is filling a need for us. Now we're talking. Sucks I'm impatient but for a custom made panel, I'll survive. I much prefer it all look as "factory" as possible.

They don't seem to be available now. There is the expected lead time but can't even order so not sure if we can still get them.

Hey if anyone is looking for custom Left Switch Panels I too got tired of other products either not fitting right, being sold out, or a pain in the ass if you want to just add 2 switches now and look OEM then add more switches later without replacing the whole left panel again. My website and products are (fingers crossed) going live end of July but shoot me a message here or look me up on Facebook or Instagram and drop a message there. I’m willing to start selling a few early before the whole store / brand launch in a couple weeks. - Shaun, Owner Guild Outfitters (Custom Truck Accessories & Part Shop)

Actually @MESO panels look better than OEM. Here’s the one he did for me.
