So the only upgrade I really care about on the 2020 vs the 2019 is the power seat as I'm 6'3" and it sits lower. Anyone think they'll be selling the new power seat for older 3rd gens?

Will the new seat fit the existing brackets?

Does anyone want to trade one for a super clean 2019 drivers seat when they get their 2020 truck in?... :D

that’s a tough bargain bro, and i don’t think you will feel a world of difference being 6-3. I’m 6ft and the automatic seats are not the lowest, like I’m comfortable but I could be lower...

That's disappointing. I was hoping it was like other vehicles I've been in where you dial it down and there oceans of headroom. My wife's RAV4 has probably 6 inches more headroom than my Tacoma and she has a sunroof and I don't.

Someone said it's no more down it's just more up on the 2020 .

I mean it does go lower then 2019>s but it’s not to a point where it’s dramatic which I was hoping for... so if you massive headroom you have to lean back like your driving a Chrysler 300 down Crenshaw or something. Plus op is 3 inches taller then me so it’s even harder, nonetheless is better but it won’t be worlds apart if that’s what he’s hoping for

It would probably help a lot of folks to get a measurement at the lowest and highest settings from the floor to a contact area on the seat bottom? Someone here (me?) could repeat the measurements for the OG Tacos.

Wait a few months and you should be able to pick a 2020 seat from a salvage yard.

May be better off getting an aftermarket seat. Something like a Recaro, which if I remember correctly, tend to sit alot lower than most oem seats in many cars.

I can confirm the seat does sit lower. I got in a 2020 tacoma the other day and I have the same headroom now as I do in my 12 Camry

Someone on here swapped out their taco seats for Power Lexus seat’s. Probs cheaper than 2020 seats

Have you even looked under your seat? There's no room lol. A new seat does not magically make more room.

Uhhh have you sat in the 2020?? There isn't anymore headroom than the 2016-2019

Its the first thing I checked as soon as a 2020 rolled into my toyota dealer, I still don't fit when they have a sunroof so a 2020 Pro is a no go for me :(

You can look up the official specs on toyota.com it lists the exact same headroom as the 2019.

There's a good bit of room under there. I have a road atlas under the passenger side (it is thin, but it was area that I needed there) and my computer in a case fits nicely under the drivers seat. Probably about as much room as I remember from my folk's cars as a kid.

With the shape of the floor, there isn't much room for a seat to go down though.
