    Hi Everyone!

Figured I should start this thread to record all the modifications and happenings to my new Taco haha.

It's already three weeks old and has been on a few mild excursions through the mountains.

New additions are PPF on the front end and wheels/tires!
    TRD Wheels (16X7.5+10) with K02 265/75/16.
    PPF done by toyota.

If I had a dollar for every time i've been told that haha. I test drove the Tundra and loved it! (However it didnt fit in my garage and we wanted a mid-size truck) But my wife has wanted a new Tacoma for a while so I got something we can both enjoy. 54K USD maybe... It was $62K CAD all in lol #RIP

Whats even funnier is that dealerships here in Canada are marking them up above MSRP and successfully selling them within 2 to 3 days. It's ridiculous. But I guess great re-sale value?

you would of been fine with a TRD off road 4wd. it has the same functions as what the trd pro has just without all the extra plastic stuff trd pro trims adds on. there flying off the shelf because people will spend the extra 10k for plastic add ons. ya got suckered in.

Yea I had that thought too but I've been saving up for a while now figured I would get the best available version of the Tacoma to start with, slowly pick away at it. In it's stock for the extra $$ is worth it. I didn't realize the Fox external reservoir internal by-pass suspension was a plastic add on  Being suckered would imply I didn't know what I was spending my money on, I'm fully aware of the additional costs for the better performing suspension and allll the TRD goodies and etc..

Haha im married, don't need pull anything. Except maybe her 1997 S14 and my 1999 Nissan Silvia to the race track once a while.

Again you would of been fine with the TRD off road 4wd
"Currently looking into full long travel lift kits around 3" that will retain TSS function."
here is what i would of done if i was in your shoes. i would of looked into getting the trd off road 4x4 then gutting out the stock suspension and putting on a better one. i would of saved more money that way but who am i to judge, I'm just one of those assholes that criticize on other peoples decisions.

"opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one"

Bahaha too true. Yea I plan to keep the truck for 2 to 3 years before I sell it. I told myself I was going to keep it stock. Then my asshole friend let me drive his 4" lifted Tacoma with long travel and my god lol, that stock plan went out the window! Being able to just running anything over you want is amazing... I was a car guy... Now very much so a truck guy lol

Or you do what I did and wait for a leftover Pro and pay less than a new OR. It definitely helped that it was a manual that they couldn't get rid of. Lucky for me that's what I was looking for

I might need a full size truck in the future when I get a little older and own a house instead of a townhouse thats for sure.
