Now that I have this install done I like the looks of the DV8 bull bar.
Getting there was a long difficult road.
    *****WARNING*****
IF YOU ARE NOT a Professional and have limited tools, BEWARE, this IS NOT A SIMPLE BOLT UP MODIFICATION!!!!!!
HEY DV8, QUALITY CONTROL FELLAS, QUALITY CONTROL.. All holes drilled were not true, had to knock off slag and drill all but a few. Light bracket are poorly made and had to be relocated to the proper fitment. Powder coating had to be painted over. HEY DV8, did I mention QUALITY CONTROL?!?!?!!?!
When I contacted DV8 about these issues they seemed disinterested at best and never contacted me again... EXTREME TERRAIN did good at first and corrected the wrong light bar being sent. They sent the one that is supposed to fit but it doesn't. YOU WILL HAVE TO MODIFY THE LIGHT BAR TABS... When I called Extreme Terrain about having the wrong item attatched for fitment, they put me on hold and never got back in touch with me... Needless to say, Not a happy customer...
They will not post any negative feedback on these sites either...
I would not put my business name on any product with that poor of quality control

Wow, I'm sorry you have had so much trouble. I have the same bumper and had none of the problems you did. The bumper's packaging was damaged in shipping and had a big hole in one side. Upon inspection, some of the hardware was missing and there were some scuff marks on a few parts of the bumper. I contacted DV8 in Riverside, CA. They were very responsive, offered to replace the bumper if I wanted, and as an alternative, they also offered a $50 credit, send out replacement hardware and touchup paint. I took them up on they're offer to give me a credit, kept the bumper, and touched up the scuffs, which were minor. Prior to installation I welded some gussets on the L brackets to provide more strength, and replaced the supplied ungraded bolts with Grade 8 ones. I actually installed the bumper by myself in a couple of hours without too much difficulty. I also purchased the DV8 20" LED light bar and harness, and before installing the bumper on the truck, I drilled a hole for the wiring and weep holes in the bar mounts and sprayed a black primer in side the arms where the powder coating did not cover. The light bar was a bit tight mounting, but I was able to get it installed with some bending of the mounts, and it has worked flawlessly. I would not recommend this bumper if you are planning on using a winch, but for the $305 investment, with the extra gussets added, I has worked well, and has been a good value.

It was a task to say the least. Luckily I have the skill set, tools & time to make the mods that were necessary. I like the way it looks now. Just wasn't the simple install it was advertised to be... I am glad you had better luck. They have upgraded some of the stuff Lbrackets came gusseted and so did the winch plate. The quality of it was just crappy, poor workmanship and poor standards...

I don't want to sounds like a jerk but you're complaining about QC on a Chinese bumper??? THere's a reason that bumper can be had for half of what comparable US made bumpers are. Just sayin.

    Mostly aesthetic thus far
Has anyone been able to successfully mount a full size winch in the DV8 bumper?

Reviving an old thread, but I just installed this DV8 on my Tacoma and just like OP states, Quality Control could use some looking into. I ordered the DV8 light bar to go with it but it doesn’t fit exactly right. Fits flush on driver side but not on passenger. It was missing some hardware, didn’t receive the bolts and nuts for the cooler line relocation. But overall I guess I would buy again just because I didn’t have to cut my original bumper. Had a pro comp lift and camper shell when purchased, led bed lights. Trd pro style grille. Just getting started.
Sitting in the driveway now loosing daylight because the cooler relocation isn't going my way, the hard lines are hitting the sway bar mount and I'm sure it would rub a hole right through them.

So you ran into the same problems with the light bar. Tried a RC first and it's too wide to fit the tabs. Then ordered the 20" from DV8 and it's not long enough. Measurement between tabs is 21 3/4" and light bar is only 21 3/8"L. I think I can make it work by using the long bolts and extra nuts and washers to center/secure it. Is the light bar any good for longevity? I'm worried about wasting time doing this and then having the light crap out after a few wet weather/car wash encounters.

What light bars are the rest of you using and have they held up over time?

Anxiously await your replies. Thanks all!

I have this bumper and although it’s ok the light bar is crap. The new design is bolt on with very small bolts. I left it off because if you happen to hit something with the light bar I would be afraid it would snap off and damage the grill of my truck. Otherwise easy install without taking the whole front of the truck off like the instructions. I removed the grill and was able to remove the lower plastic and aluminum bumper that way.05A0BD33-7E9E-4A26-BBB4-6985BF1EAED6.jpg

Yeah I saw an old post of this bumper and it looks like they used to be welded on. I'm really not to worried about rear ending anybody. Being rear ended is a different story. Every a#$hole that pulls up at a light seems to want to park under the truck lol.
