20181013_051619.jpg Hi Taco gents and ladies,

Very new to the Taco world, bought my 2018 TRD OR about two months ago and I've enjoyed every minute of ownership. Unfortunately my post is not for upgrades but for estimates on possible cost of collision. I got in to a wreck the other night and it looks like I may have some pretty major damages. No air bags were deployed and I don't think it's totaled.
    Hood
    Trd Grill
    Bumper
Radiator - radiator fluid leaked and the engine wouldn't start
Power steering might be affected too

It's currently at a shop and since its the weekend, I won't be able to get an estimate until later today. So I'm looking to jump ahead to have a rough idea of the possible cost so I can decide weather or not I should file a claim or pay out of pocket. I'm hoping for the best but planning for the worst.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear hope no one was hurt. Maybe if you can some pictures would help so we can see the damage. But I would just make a claim that's why we all pay all these dollars for insurance. Best of luck .

Hope everyone is ok. I'd go through insurance. I had a front end collision earlier this year and suffered less damage than what you seem to be describing. Total cost was around $8k, which included a new front bumper and related bracing underneath, grille, passenger side fender, foglights, paint, labor, etc. No damage to anything in the engine bay.

Edit: Almost forgot... add another $550 for the 18 days I had a rental car.

Let insurance figure it out it looks like about $7K to me but not knowing what damage is hiding could increase it some.....

Glad you're safe. Definitely file a claim to insurance. What happened? Did the TSS work at all?

You had a head on collision and no air bags deployed? Sounds like faulty air bags. Lucky no one was hurt. Although that looks pretty minor for a head on.

I’m going to say $6,000 to fix it. But the insurance estimate is going to be $4,500to start with.

Mine sustained $17,000 worth of damage after a car ran through my garage with my truck inside! They won't total it until it sustains 75% of the value. For me, that would be $30,000...
