That is one fine looking ride! I pick up my 2017 TRD OR tomorrow, it is only 2WD though. Mine is the Quicksand color. I have been a member of this site for 2 days and I have to say there is a lot of 2016 & 2017 Tacoma bashing going on here. Kind of stressed me out about my purchase. It is good to see a positive and happy owner here.

    Nice truck, OP!

^ Yes, there is a lot of 2016/17 bashing on this forum but I am here to say that the MGM 2016 2x4 TRD Sport AC I bought last April has not had ANY of the problems discussed here. It's a great ride. I must admit though that coming from an '89 4x4 AC I drove since '94 this new truck feels soooo much bigger and it taking some getting used to.

    Enjoy your new trucks!

I have the same truck (silver too) as the OP except mine is a long bed. I've had it for two weeks and I love it so far. No shift issues or any of the many other issues talked about in all the threads. I hope that holds out!

Thanks Rosewood I needed to hear that! Thanks also TDR493. Do either of you know if the TSB was taken care of on the trucks built later in the year? Mine has a build date of 8/20/16. Not sure when Your truck was built TDR493. Just wondering that's all. I am sure once I am in it I will feel better. I do love the new body style on these and the stance is perfect in my opinion.

Mine was built in August, towards the end but not sure what day. It was in port (GST= Gulf States Toyota) for a long time. Another member claimed it was because they were checking all the trucks to make sure the transmission fluid levels were correct before they left. Not sure if that's true........

Sweet ride KellyJoe! That is the color I bought and my favorite color of all time. I pick up my truck this evening. It is a TRD DCSB OR 2WD. Unfortunately since it is an OR it lacks the sweet hood scoop that is on yours. Thanks for posting a picture of your truck, I wondered what a TRD SPORT would look like in that color. It looks even better that what I imagined. One thing I am planning on doing with mine in the future is replacing the front chrome grill with a blacked out one, and also getting the blackout kit for the chrome emblems also.

    Hey TRD493,
I love this, so a member claimed your truck was at GST for a long time because the trans fluid was being checked huh? Wow I wish I knew everything! LOL, I am sure their friends cousin did the fluid check to that's who this member knows. Don't you just love the internet! I would be skeptical of that. I was told by a member that he gets the Toyota TSB's and he educates the Toyota Service Department in his town, yep he teaches them everything! LOL, uh ok man whatever you say. I may have to ask this member to let me in on where he gets those Toyota TSB's and how he gets them before the dealership who is well.........the dealership. He did not say how and where he is getting them from and from his comment it did not sound like he was an authorized Toyota service tech. I am sure if I have problems with my truck this person will educate me on how to fix them. LOL. I think I will stay over here on this positive thread for awhile, it is way better than some of the other bashing threads on here. Just sayin

Ok since I am new here I need some help. What does MGM stand for? Also what does AC stand for? It is good to hear you have had no issues with your truck. I wonder how many other people are out there that have had positive experiences? Seems like for the most part you get a lot of the negative end of the stick on some of these threads. I have faith in Toyota as I have had owned 3 in the past and all 3 were great trucks with no issues, I am hoping that will become 4 after I pick my new on up tonight.

My TRD Pro grill is on order already and I haven't decided on the emblems yet. They will be black or off completely though. Haven't decided yet. Slapped on some mud guards yesterday mainly for paint protection and I'm pretty pleased with how they look. Not real crazy about the wheels either but we'll see. :D Adapted my dash cam to the GoPro mount and will hard wire soon along with black inserts for the embossed tailgate letters. Just getting started. You're gonna love it and be sure to put up some pics.

WOW, tell us how you really feel. I hear what your saying, just don't like how your saying it, Just sayin

MGM, Magnetic Grey Metallic, if you believe me as I don't have and sources to site at the moment, oh wait the internet, so it must be wrong.

Speaking to your comment about the negative shit on the forum. I know some will argue this, but most people google my Tacoma is doing yada yada yada, and end up on these forums and talk about the negative issues. Not too many people seek out places to talk about how their truck is doing exactly like it should.

Thanks, I figured as much. But just incase, no Monday Blues, glad I chose the MGM

Congrats on your new trucks. Now do yourself a favor and leave this forum or learn how to filter through all the bitching and whining. Once you do one of those 2 things you will enjoy your truck a lot more.

There are a lot of different people on here. Some are Toyota salesmen, sales managers, Toyota techs or people that do other stuff for the company. You never know who you're talking to or what they do.
