    Hi all.
I’m looking at upgrading from my 2004 Tacoma to a 2017 Tacoma.

The truck I’m looking at is a certified used Toyota Tacoma double cab TRD off-road with 27,300 miles.

    Anything I should be worried/concerned about ?

if it's an MT I'd say that's the best year. but for ATs it's been typical. this is AT?

Auto or manual? I would check service records, recalls, TSBs. And price new 2019 while you're at it. You might notice there isn't much of a difference

Run the VIN through the Toyotaowners site and see if there are any open recalls. It should also show service history.
2017 was the last run without the safety sense stuff.
If it has been modded, that depends on what mods were done to determine as to whether it was a good owner or a hack job owner.

    Thanks for the replies!

The truck I’m looking at is automatic transmission. Bone stock.

I’ll run the VIN through Toyotaowners
    Tomorrow.

The 17s do not have Toyota Safety Sense. Some people like that. Some people don't.

I have a ‘17 and been very happy with mine, Toyota did a TSB on the Auto, replaced the rear axles and I haven’t had
any other problems with it. Plus I’m getting a consistent 23-25 combined MPG city/hwy and no leaks anywhere.
    Mines also factory stock.

Late production 2017 here. My truck is close to 30,000kms (18,600 miles) and it has been flawless. Very happy with it.

    By the way....
I pulled the trigger on a new Tacoma.
After 10+ years, it was hard to let my 2004 go. But I really like the 2017!

Everything. Walk, no run, away as fast as you can.

Seriously, test drive it, if you don't hear strange noises and it checks out buy it.

The finest year of the Tacoma by far. No TSS and no squinty looking LED headlights.

50000 miles on my '17 trd sport and only replaced the blower fan. Other than that I don't have problems with my truck. It runs smooth like the first day I bought it. I would check records, check the condensation spot from the AC, check the suspensions, and get a 2nd opinion from someone else. If you don't want the extra safety gadgets, '17 is a good year to buy.

I love my 2017 Off Road with 6MT. Bought new in April 2017, have 43K miles as of today, only think I have ever changed is engine oil & filter, transmission/Xfer/differential gear lubes.

Only thing I personally do not like is that for whatever reason, Toyota doesn't offer the 3rd gen Tacoma with manual transmission and long bed combo.
