Anyone removed the knobs off the stock radio? I started to pull on them and they didn’t budge. I didn’t want to force the issue and break something. Tips, tricks?

Mine pulled right off rather easily. I have a the nav radio where the knobs are at the bottom, not sure which one you have but it didn't take much force.

Just replaced mine yesterday with the hondo's. Pull straight back, grip around the front edge of the knob with your finger tips and use three fingers like a gear puller.

Agreed, the stock knobs are horrible so I made my own replacements. Knurled aluminum that's been anodized black. If there's interest I could make more.

I like my Hondo knobs in that they stick out farther than the stock knobs. But, they are of approximately the same diameter as the stock knobs and the ratio of diameter to length makes them look a bit too small.

I would buy a pair of knobs that stuck out as far as the Hondo knobs if they were about 1.5 times the diameter.

4Runner radio knobs look larger and I had wondered whether or not they would fit on the Tacoma after looking at parts online.F7F1F2F5-1EC0-4371-B214-465728D86DAA.jpg

I've heard size 13 rings fit best. I bought the Hondo Garage Knobs though.
