    Hi All!

I just picked up my "new to me" 2016 Tacoma Limited yesterday. I noticed that the front grill has been painted or plasti-dipp'd black, while the Toyota logo has been done in white.

Is this the stock grill just painted or do you think it's something aftermarket? The "Paint" seems to flake off a bit and it appears a bit wrinkly.

I did get it as certified pre-owned with 42K miles. Runs and drives as good as new. I did own a 2003 Tacoma Double Cab SR5/TRD from new to 170K miles but the rust got her.

Looks painted. Mine is painted the same way and doing the same thing. Currently in the market for a different grille insert.

Welcome! Most people paint the grill with Plastidip, which you can peel off if you want.

It appears to be a hard paint type wrinkle surface. It takes a bit of work with your fingernail to flake any of it off. I'm thinking Krylon or something...

Welcome! Also, that’s not the stock grill that came with the Limited, that’s a TRD grill that’s been painted/plastidipped, as said above. Limited grill is the same as the SR and SRR5, but with a chrome surround, instead of black (think SR5 has the chrome as well, not sure).
