Hi, I am in the market for my first Tacoma. I am trying to figure out the difference between a TRD Sport vs Off-Road vs Pro. I found a 2015 Pro with 34k miles. Dealer is asking $27950. I have seen lots of Off-Road and Sports online but this is the first Pro I have seen and I am not sure how to price it.

Where is the best place to find this info?

    Thx

The Pro got better suspension and a different grill/lights. Everything else is comparable to the OffRoad.

I paid 29K for a 2015 Offroad with 14,000 miles. They may be a bit high on the Pro you're looking at. I've got a Toyota brochure for 2015's, let me know if you want me to look something up for you.

The pro is the same as an offroad (locker, ATRAC, DAC) but with a hood scoop (same as sport), upgraded shocks (similar to the Bilstein 6110), color matched grill/bumper (same as sport), different grill insert, and different badges.

As been stated, its got all the mechanical benefits and goodies from an offroad, but with all the aesthetics from a sport. Add in a mild factory suspension lift and at a good price they're hard to beat for someone new to Tacomas.

That's not a terrible price for a Pro with 34K. In my area it would sell for a lot more - Tacomas don't last long on the lot in New Mexico.

That's actually a great price on a Pro.

There's a few other threads that answer the question comparing models. Here are a couple:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2015-trd-pro-vs-off-road-sport.370658/
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/pro-vs-offroad.430510/#post-12388289

Color matched door handles, turn signal indicators on side mirrors, auto dimming rear view mirror w compass, tires, TRD wheels, TRD shift knob ... there's a pretty decent list of little things that add up on top of the suspension / exhaust / hood scoop / grill / headlights etc. previously mentioned.

PS - make sure it's actually a Pro. A lot of TRD OR / Sports get listed as Pros, something about the VIN auto-populating the wrong trim in their dealer system.

To give you an idea, there are 86 listed as 2015 TRD Pro here and only 1 is an actual Pro:

I would seriously doubt a 15 pro with that mileage would go for that price. Check the vin#. I see similar sports and off roads in my area north of Boston advertised in the $30k range.

All Tacos in NM go for a lot more. My 2015 Sport with 26k and a extended warranty went for a lot.
They sell quick here literally overnight.

not only that, but dealers may even call it a Pro, just to make that extra $$$ when it is not a Pro.

Pro is basically a TRD OR with a TRD Sport Body on it...different Grill and Baja Type Suspension and Wheels. One thing that seems to get missed by dealers trying to make Clones is the Tire Pressure sticker. A Pro will have one for the 8 Ply BFG's that come on it but has one corner cut out of the sticker to show proper inflation for the spare which is a P rated standard tire. Seems like a good price for a Pro.....If it is Inferno and a 2015 it should be a Pro as they were the only ones in that color...otherwise it would be Black or White...any other color, not a Pro.

Could you say its basically a TRD Sport with a rear locker, PRO grill, Wheels and Pro suspension?

I would be leery about this price. Sounds to good to be true.

How can you 100% know if its a pro or sport? I think my truck may be listed wrong.
