I have a 2015 Tacoma Off Road and would like to add a set of wheels to it, it is completely stock and will see a lift in the future but not anytime soon. I want to stick with a 16" wheel but not sure what exact offset and backspacing I want or should go with.

Could you guys please provide me with some examples (pics please) of what you guys are running, I think I want to go the -12mm offset and 4.5 Backspacing route but want to make sure before I purchase wheels, I want a little more aggressive stance than stock, but would like them slightly past the outer most part of the fender like maybe an inch or two but no more outside of the fender

    Any help is most appreciated

No need to post in all caps. The wheel/tire forum isn't as well traveled as the 2nd gen section, but welcome to TW.

-12 is pretty far out, that would get you almost an inch past the flare running a 7.5" wide wheel, depending on the width of your wheel it may be more or less. IMO that is a poor look and also causes your truck to throw everything down the rocker panels and destroys the paint. But people do it and some like the look. Ideally tires should be placed at the very edge of the flare, giving a more aggressive look with no negative consequences. Also I would recommend a wheel 8" wide or less, as many tires will not mount to a larger wheel within spec, and wider wheels are worse for off road use as they do not hold a bead as well aired down.

Here is a pic of my truck compared to stock with the tires pushed out to the edge of the flare, +6 offset, 7.5" wide wheel. Mine are 17s, but it will show the same spacing as using the 16" version:

I appreciate the help crash, I do like the way yours is sitting, only difference I am looking at is a deeper dish wheel, I like something with a little more lip on it ? Would that change the offset needed ?

    Thanks Again

No, the TRD Rock Warrior wheels I have require special extra long Toyota lug kit as the face of the wheel sits out so far. You can get the same stance in a deeper dish wheel with a lip without much change to the offset.

I personally like OEM wheels, they are light and very high quality. The Baja/Pro beadlock style wheels are 16 in x 7.5 in x 10mm offset and have a deeper dish. They come in black/bronze/grey.

Here is a pic, not he is running a slightly smaller and less aggressive tire I am though:
