Any reason why I'm getting 9.5 mpg? Truck only has 22 thousand miles and no lift.

    Welcome to the forum!

We would like to help figure out your mileage problem, but there is a lot of information missing.
Is your maintenance (plugs, oil change, MAF cleaning, air filter, etc) up to date?
Do you floor it when the light turns green?
    Tire pressure proper?
    Heavily loaded vehicle?
    Etc....

Not loaded, everything should be fine since I bought it from the dealership in July and normally drive around 15 20 rpms

I can’t believe you only getting 200 miles per tank. How are you figuring out mileage?

Throw a scan tool on it and drive around. If fuel trims are normal then it's probably your right foot

And calculate your mpg better, just looking at the gauge position ain't going to cut it

Is the air filter/housing stock? Try cleaning the maf sensor

That's X100, so 1500-2000 rpm on your tach. You don't always get the best fuel mileage running that slow. Often dropping down a gear and letting the engine run results in better fuel mileage. But I don't think that alone will account for fuel mileage that bad.

WOW! Definitely something is not right!
Crummy winter gas mixture also doesn’t help mine! Seems to drop a couple of mpg. But I run heavy loaded with SP, and lots of stuff in the bed and at 5,000 feet in elevation. At 65 mph I usually get 15+ on winter gas.

OK - so how many gallons did it take to fill it up?

    Fill up the tank completely.
    Reset trip odometer.
Drive until you need gas again; roughly 1/4 tank remaining.
    Full up the tank completely.
Look at how many gallons it took.
    Look at your trip odometer.
    Math.
    Repeat.

Or download an app like in my signature that maths for you as long as you input good data.

The reserve is huge. When the gas light goes off I still have 4 gallons of gas left in the tank.

With all due respect that is quite the assumption, NEVER assume everything is fine, especially if you didn’t do the preventative maintenance yourself. like others have said, do the following yourself and work your way down the list, doesn’t have to be in this order, oil change, clean maf, check tire pressure, change PCV valve, clean throttle body, change engine bay air filter and spark plugs as well. You want these things done immediately after buying a used vehicle and preferably done by you so you know they’re done right. Welcome aboard matey and here’s something to help you along your way:thumbsup:upload_2022-11-29_1-19-41.jpg

That's a great chart; I've never seen it before.

Do you have the original source with the links on the right side?

Neighbor syphoning gas in the night?

I don't see how the engine can be running well IF it's actually getting that kind of gas mileage.
