2015 Tacoma curtain airbag compatibility

Hey y’all, I have a 2015 Tacoma crew cab base model and it needs curtain airbags.
Question: will curtain airbags from a 2012 work with the 2015 Tacoma?

Airbags, alignments, and paint. 3 things on cars I will not fuck with in my driveway.

 

Was in an accident and the airbags went. Why I want used (not deployed) is because the dealer is too expensive, 1 curtain airbag is over 1k.

 

Tentatively yes, it should work. Provided both are double cab, or access cab. The part number doesnt change. 2005-2011 is different than 2012-2015.

You can visit or phone a Toyota dealer and the parts person will compare part numbers between model years.

I called the dealer and the guy said he “can’t tell me that kind of information” so I went on their website and looked up 2012 and 2015 curtain airbags and the part numbers were identical. So I figure they are exactly the same.
The guy at the dealer thought he could outsmart a Tacoma owner

 

Don’t trust your safety to a used airbag. I know that most insurance companies if a shop is fixing your vehicle with airbag deployment it’s required that new ones are used due to liability issues. Could possibly put yourself in a position if they didn’t go off in another wreck your injuries wouldn’t covered because the airbags are used. Just food for thought.
