I recently got a new 2014 4x2 2.7L Tacoma Base, and I am thinking of adding fog lights. I searched here and other places and did not find any good info besides the excellent wiring guide here. I have a couple questions.

    1. Will the kit for any 2005 and up Tacoma work?

    2. I see the light delete pockets in the front which look like I can just pop out the fog light shaped pocket and mount lights. Can I use those to mount the lights? One kit I found has just the lamps and another has brand new bezels.

    3. Also for the install of the lights do I get to the pockets by removing the inner fender by from wheel or am I missing something obvious?

    Thanks for your help

You will need lights for a 2012+, they changed the bumper. The 12, 13, & 14s are the same.

Yes you can just take out the round plastic thing without removing the housing. It's just a couple of screws. And use the same screws to put the fogs in.

I was able to install mine by just reaching up from below. I didn't have to remove anything. You can see in the passenger side better. Check it out with a flashlight.

If you are lucky the truck is pre wired. Some are some are not.
First place to check is if there is a socket behind the leftmost switch blank by the driver door. Then if the fuse box has the connectors, there would also be some un used harness taped up behind the headlights.
If not you will need a full fog kit with wiring harness, switch, relay, etc.

Look around there are some inexpensive options. Search the forum there are other threads covering this topic. For instance you can use corolla fogs for much less.

Here's a recent one with some links to others in the second post
