The best deal both my friend and I got on the 2013 4x4 TRD and 4x4 Limited within the month was close to 10% off MSRP (sticker) out the door. Most KC dealers will give you 6-7% easily, but you will have to haggle to get better........good luck.

BTW mine posted above was USAA pre-negotiated price... I thought it was pretty fair. 11.4% off MSRP for reference. I got a quote from several dealers in the area, most were ~5% off MSRP, but one was the 11.4. This dealer was a little ways away, so I just brought a copy of the quote from the other dealer to my local dealer, and they matched it eventually. Going to vary a bit, but 10% ish off MSRP should be do-able for about anyone I would guess.

    11.4% off $32,749 = $29015

Going by the numbers you posted above ($32,749/$29375), you got roughly 8.97% off prior to taxes

    edit:
*I'm a dumbass, my numbers are wrong, too

You're right- there was a bit of tricky math going on behind the scenes. The dealer that had the 29,000 offer, their dealer fee was double of the actual dealer i went to. They ended up matching the final 'out the door' price if you will, which netted it 29375 before taxes. We'll call it 9 percent off then.

Thanks for calling me out seriously, lol. Wasn't trying to mislead or post bad info, I was just pulling some numbers I had came up with earlier and didn't re-compute after the final deal was settled.

I apologize, I think my math was shitty as well. I believe you got more like 10.3% off MSRP. I should probably quit with the public math.

I'm just trying to get a basis for what I have been quoted. Some of the prices on here seem like a stretch. I feel like the deal I am currently working is ok, but not great(about 8.5% off sticker prior to tax). Paying sale price plus tax and fees and still getting nearly 10% of sticker seems insane. Sales tax here is 7% so out the door, I would only be 2% under MSRP.

I agree some of the numbers on here seem a bit insane, no way Toyota is making any money on some of those.

I ran the numbers again and yep, I got 10.3% off MSPR, plus TTL. Or about 3% below invoice, how ever you want to look at it. Based on my research I got a pretty good/fair deal, I think.

I'm trying to find a web site to build me a dbl cab TSS. I can't find a site. Where did you find the info. on yours? What's included in the TSS Pkg. Right now it has a $1500 rebate, plus USAA has another $500 & i might qualify for the $500 military rebate. My local dealers are hard to deal with. I hate spending 2hrs trying to get the numbers where i want them. I'm waiting for USAA to contact me.

Ok Just drove home with it here is the brass tax info.

2013 tacoma 4X4, DC, LB, TRD Sport, no nav in MGM color

    MSRP 33075.00
    Invoice 31213.00
My deal 30998.00 including Fee's (destination charge)
    Tax 2797.00
    Lic 389.00

    total for vehicle 34184.00

I asked for additional $500.00 off. The manager came over and said there is no way he could do that. That is the lowest he can go and that he would lose the sale.

OK, since I'm in SoCal and there seem to be a bajillion others that potentially will also go to Longo Toyota I will give more details. First off, this place was awesome, it's the main hub for ALL toyotas coming into the US and it shows. Massive inventory, had everything I wanted in every color, and they have been by far the #1 dealer.. in the world... for 47 years straight. Sounds silly but when you see the place you know it's legit. They were super cool, I called and said I wanted "Invoice Price" to the I-Net sales manager and gave him two stock numbers that matched my requirements. He emailed me a .pdf quote for what I think is just that. I went in, they were super cool and fast and no sleaze so I went back the following w/e and bought the wife an IS350 from the Lexus side. lol

    Here are the numbers:

    Tacoma DC 4x4 v6 year/model 2013/7594A Port Plant: Otay Mesa, CA/TMMBC
    Base Price: $27,585.00
    Package EJ: Display Audio/Navigation/Entune/JBL sound/touchscreen/7 speakers+subwoofer/XM sat radio/aux in/usb/voice recog... blah blah 2,005.00
Package PY: TRD Sport Extra Value Pack, sport suspension, Bilstein shocks, 17" alloys, hood scoop, color keyed everything, mirror turn signals, sliding rear window, privacy glass all around, etc etc etc.. $3,685.00
TO Package: $650.00 Class IV hitch, tranny oil cooler, engine oil cooler, 130a alternator, HD Battery upgrade, 7pin connector and sway control.
CF package: Carpeted floor mats and door sill protector (what?!?) $195
DR package: Roof Rack System $339.00

    Total MSRP 35,304
    Selling Price $32,026

Optional Alarm $399(seemed less! Bastards, wish I had skipped that!)
Gap Insurance from Toyota Motors $280
    Total Amount financed 35,814.15
    Total @ 72 pmts 538.50 = 38,772.00

About 9.1% off of MSRP? Obviously if you skipped the options and didn't finance it would have been a little cheaper.

I just bought a 2013 DCSB TRD Off Road a couple days ago. It was 33,030 MSRP, and I ended up out the door at 30,292 out the door (after taxes, delivery, doc fees, etc..). It's worth noting that I traded in an older car as well, and that brought my total financed amount down to just over 26k. I was really surprised that it came down that low, but I guess if you are willing to sit down and really hammer it out, you can get a helluva deal.

I have a quote for $29270.43 for dbl cab TRD Sport, tow & JBL, V6. Have not discussed trade in on 09 Tacoma dbl cab sport w/tow. Another dealer offer $20,500 trade & $29,900 on 13 Tacoma. 09 is one owner, 28,000 mi, all service done by Toyota, good shape, no damage. Looks like they can be bought for about 8% off list.

Hey all I'm new here and looking to buy a DC 4x4 automatic. This is my first time buying a new car on my own and I've been trying to judge on how much I should stick to on my offer by what I'm seeing here. Would any of you be able to give me any tips, or what price point I should be looking to get the truck at? I'm in NJ. Thanks in advance! I'm looking at 2 different ones.

    1- w/SR5 Pkg & Tow Pkg, Carpet Mats & Door Sills - MSRP $31505

2- w/TRD Sport Pkg & Tow Pkg, Carpet Mats & Door Sills - MSRP $33156

Email the internet managers at several different dealerships that are within drivng distance from you. Heck, email ones that are far away if you want to as well.

Do it on the last 4 days of the month and let them name the price. They'll chase each other to the bottom. this way, you can find out who is close to their monthly goal--you'll be able to save a few bucks by doing this.

I helped three other family members do this within the last several months. One dealer might be the lowest one month--and the highest the next month.

I traveled 1 hr 45minutes one way to get my Tacoma and I have a dealership that is less than 15 minutes from my house that couldn't beat it.

The previous reply is spot on. I did all my emailing at the end of February.. got some pretty good deal. I got my local dealer to match the best price quote I got. Very rough numbers... you should be able to get about 10% off MSRP, based on what all I have seen on here.
