    Hi Everyone
Im currently looking at a 2013 Double Cab short bed 4x4 4.0 auto. Wanting to see if anyone can tell me anyone can tell me what to look at is there any issues with the automatic trans? Any issues in general? It has 50,000 miles. Ive done alot of reading and really havent found any negatives. I love my access cab but really not seeing it working well with my son. Thanks for any help.

None on my 2009 with 87k and none on current truck with 60k. I am getting ready to tranny fluid change. On my Fords I have always dropped the pan, cleaned and screen, or replaced the filter every 30k. It was a messy job and gaskets could be a pain. If I had to replace a gasket I would put something flat and some weight on it for several days. I usually added a drain plug on the first change so the messy part went away. I am thinking the Tacoma will be cleaner with a drain plug but doing the whole temp check thing might take longer.

Not much difference between your 2015 and the 2013 ( when comparing DCSB).

Maintenance wise, not much really needs to be done to the 13 other then oil changes and the occasional tire rotation, but I would ask the seller if he did the spark plugs as they are due at 30K. In the end, no specific problems areas to note.

If it fits I say go for it.

The trannys are solid. My truck has 95k miles on it and still has the original fluid (about to get it replaced at 100k). I've never experienced or heard of anything negative with the drivetrain in these trucks. They are virtually bulletproof.

I have a 13 with 43k, I put every one of those miles. the longer I have the truck, the more I love it and the more impressed I am with it. what it lacks in towing capacity, it makes up for with willingness to over achieve in other areas, with the SR5 package, on road comfort is uncompromising, even with the DuraTracs. Off road with the right tires it will handle most anything. The one complaint I have is with the towing capacity, 6500 lbs max, with 650 lbs hitch max. As for family transport, its great, very safe, one guy on here got T-boned at 30-40 mph with his two year old kid in the back seat, no injuries to speak of here is the link:

I have a friend that is over 6 feet tall and he says its a lil tight in the back seat, but my friend that is 5 foot 9 inches says he has enough room to be comfortable.
over all, best value for your buck with todays current truck market. Plus you cant knock the resale value off, even if you try.
