Hey der folks. Brand new to this site with my first post here. Just bought a 2012 DBCB TRD Sport a couple months ago. & recently bought a Eibach Pro Lift kit and I have a few questions. My hopes are to smooth out the ride compared to the bumpy stock sport suspension  Any advice would be much appreciated! Anything I should know before going into this install?
What notches should i set them at (highest, lowest, etc.)?
Should I get a 1" rear block and if so which one?
If you've taken the time to read this or help out thanks!:D

Not as familiar with this kit but from a quick search it looks like its 2-3" in front and nothing in the rear. In that case, no I would not do blocks since you have nice new front suspension you'll want to get something nice for the rear as well.

Nice and still affordable; 3 leaf progressive AAL, will give you 1.5 to 2 inches.
Nice and more dollhairs; full leaf pack, OME or Dakar, 3 inches but can be dropped by removing leafs.

Regarding the front, I'd stay around the 2-2.5 range to minimize the impact it has on your cv angles and also so you can keep your stock UCAs. If you go higher than that you'll need new UCAs to get your alignment in spec.

Also, welcome to TW! I am fairly new myself and it's a great place with tons and tons of info. So much so that if you search for something, you'd be hard pressed not to find multiple threads about it so make sure to search. You'll find more than you care to read about.

All the 3 leafs are made by the same company and sold under different brands (from what I've gathered reading through here) so your choices are Headstrong, Wheelers, and Icon. Pick whichever is cheapest or most convenient for you to get. I got the Headstrong and have no complaints.

Hey there i got a 2012 dblcab s well have had many different lifts on it. But the one that I recommend is the all pro 3” leaf pack priced good doesn't squeak like OME’s do and actually a good ride loaded and unloaded.

I’m probably gonna go with the icon 1.5” aal. Not really looking for a 3” lift in the back and this fits the budget. https://www.bilsteinlifts.com/shop/...-expansion-pack-add-leaf-96-18-toyota-tacoma/

Eibach Pro Stage 1 on 2nd clip, 3 leaf Icon AAL's in back.
    That's what I have ordered.
I am doing this exact lift on my 2014 double cab. Use lowest notch to get around 2.5 to 3" lift.
Then the Icon aal 3 leaf kit for the rear.
I have my rear springs but am waiting on the front assy's to be delivered. The virus slowed down their shop a bit. Hope to get it soon so I can start the install.

Great to hear. No I have not received my Eibach kit yet. @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc told me last week they finally got the kits in and mine should be shipped out soon but still waiting. The covid crap shut down the Eibach shop for a few days and they have been at diminished capacity since then.
YES PLEASE post those pics when you get done. Can't wait.
Will you be leaving the overload spring in?

Looking like my shop is charging me $800 for installing everything and alignment.

I love my Eibach pro lift springs coupled with 5100. They can be run either at the first notch or second. The top notches can be utilized when you have armor. Surprisingly, the spring rate on the Eibach pro lift is 725lbs but don't be alarmed, it pairs extremely well with the valving/dampening of the 5100. It seems Eibach just rebrands other companies parts (like their SPC uca) and the pro lift shocks look extremely similar to the 5100.

So far I've been really happy, the front suspension is highly compliant. I've had other Tacoma owners ask how I made the front end so smooth and they are surprised when I provide them with some specifications!

Good luck and let us know how it rides!

that's awesome yeah i will definitely let you guys know.
had a minor setback in the shop today when they found out the bottom leaf in my OEM pack is broken in half. So instead of removing the bottom on both i ended up having them order a 2" OME Leaf pack and ill end up returning my 1.5 icon aal. so currently delayed until next friday the 15th :/ lol stay tuned :annoyed:

just noticing this and for everyone who doesn't know. with the 2nd gen Eibach pro lift kit the first (lowest) clip is for 2" and the second (highest) is for 2.5"

Yes you are correct. I meant to say second clip. Not sure what I was thinking. Good catch.

Ouch. Are your front struts pre-assembled or are they having to assemble them for you?
