Even better price on the relay... less than $20
    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...12+90080-87026+90080-87010&_sacat=0&_from=R40

I searched for a better deal on the switch, and $40 is it.
There are a LOT of listings claiming that the cheap kit switch fits Tacoma.
It "fits" in that it will fit the openings in the center console by the power ports, but it does not fit the openings by the steering wheel, and does not fit the factory harness.

Same for the rocker switches that claim to be OEM (usually Scion)... they are standard OTC switches available at AutoZone.

This is their description from my Amazon link:

"The Fog Light / Lamps Kit is a direct bolt OEM REPLACEMENT fit. It includes adjustment for light beam direction, a replacement OEM LED switch that will fit on the FACTORY location, wiring. harness and it also includes OEM plugs and Taps so no cutting is needed. This basically will fit and look just like the ones that come with the vehicle from the manufacture at a fraction of the cost. Features:- Fits on factory location. - Adjustment for light beam direction. - The kit is a direct bolt OEM replacement Fit

I'm thinking I should give it a try since they are claiming it would fit in the factory location. Hmmm not sure if it would be worth the hassle if its going in the spot in the middle of the dash you mentioned. Thanks!

They are lying. They have been lying since the kit was introduced for the '05-'11, and they are continuing to lie about the new kit for the '12-'14.

The switch does not fit the factory harness, and it does not PROPERLY fit the factory fog light switch location in the dash.
It will fit the lower center console, but that is not the factory location.

The switch is a 5-pin lighted switch with an indicator light.
The factory switch is a 4-pin lighted switch without an indicator light.
The factory wiring harness does not support an indicator light.

FWIW, even if you are not pre-wired, the harness supplied with the kit is too short for the Tacoma... maybe 3-4ft too short to mount the switch in the OEM location below the left vent, and at least 6-8ft too short to mount the switch where it actually fits in the lower center console.

But like I said... the kit, at $100, is about $180 less than it would cost you to purchase both light housings from Camelback or Titus-Will, so it is worth it just to get those parts.
If you are prewired, then all you need is another $50 to buy the switch from Camelback or Titus-Will ($40+shipping), and another $10 to pick up the relay from ebay.
Plug the switch in, install a fuse (might require two fuses, I don't know if there is a second fuse for the low-current side or not), and it's good to go.

If you aren't prewired, then buy the kit, buy the factory switch, and build your own harness from a regular Bosch cube relay and wire it like you would any other fog light.
An advantage to DIY on a truck that is not pre-wired is you can use the illuminated switch and harness from the FJ Cruiser.

Also note the difference in backlight color if you are prewired:
For the FJ switch, I don't think it is available in the correct backlight color for the '12+ Tacoma, but having an indicator is, IMHO, a great idea, especially if you are wiring so the fogs can be on anytime. Anytime on with no indicator, you WILL forget and kill your battery.

Here's a quote containing link info and wiring for the FJ switch and a DIY harness...

That's the Amazon/ebay kit, marked up an extra $55.

Buy the switch and relay at Camelback or Titus-Will. I provided the Titus-Will link above because Camelback was not responding... prices would be the same from either dealer.

Here's the search results for Titus-Will for the FJ switch and harness... it's a little cheaper than the toyotaTRDparts link at $64 plus shipping.

I was just thinking...if I want the fogs on whenever I flip the headlights on anyways...would I need a switch at all? Is it possible to just tap into the low beams and just use a relay and the 07-09 camry fogs? Would that overload anything? I don't really need to control it separately and don't want to accidentally leave em on. It seems like I would get away with only spending about $50 ($40 for the camry fogs and $10 for the relay) then. Thanks!

Also, if I have to get the switch, could I leave it 'on' all the time and the fogs will only turn on when I turn the headlights on and turn off when I turn the headlights off automatically?

These are the camry lights I found...are these the the ones that fit?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-09-Toyot...&fits=Model:Camry&hash=item1e7c4a0d35&vxp=mtr

Sorry for all the questions...do you know where the wiring is exactly for the prewiring under the bumper? I popped the blank out the dash and I have the harness there, the contacts are in the fuse box under the hood, but I can't find the wiring harness for the fog lights at the bumper. Thanks a lot for the help!

If your state has safety inspections, you will need two things:
1 - The ability to manually shut them off (fogs are not recommended if not needed as they can cause glare under normal conditions)
2 - They must automatically shut off when the high beams are activated

The factory system does this, and since you are prewired, it is the easiest way to go.

I suppose you could eliminate the switch by shorting pins 3 and 4 on the connector under the dash. I am not sure of the orientation of the connector under the dash, so use a multimeter, turn the headlights on, and probe the two sockets at one end. Turn your dash dimmer down and back up. If the voltage changes with the dimmer, do NOT short that pair... short the other pair.

The connectors under the bumper will be behind where the housings fit, but it will be taped to keep the weather out of the connector.

Thanks, I'll take a look tomorrow..so the 07-09 Camry fog lights would be an ok route to take? Since you seem pretty knowledgeable about the Tacoma, do you know if the 2001 camry intermittent wiper stalk would work on a 2012 Tacoma? Thanks!

There have been a couple of references both ways on the Camry fog light housings.
One guy says they fit, one says they don't, one says they fit with trimming.

On the wiper stalk, I'm not familiar with the '01 Camry, but I would suspect not.

I'm saw someone mention the 2006 solara in another thread...the pics of it on ebay show a set of 2 then 4 contacts which seems to match the pics of the tacoma switch....its tempting since they are only $20-$30 on there haha.

Do these actually fit or are you aware of a problem with them? I had already placed my order for the Amazon tacoma kit and the switch didn' t work with the prewiring like you said. I'm thinking I'll either order the 07-09 camry fog lights with the separate switch and relay or these. Thanks, you been a lot of help!

    http://www.carid.com/2012-toyota-tacoma-fog-lights/winjet-oem-style-fog-lights-15342869.html

These are the camry lights...if the ones above require any cutting or mods I would just get the camry lights. I want the least amount of work modifications or changes to the existing wiring as possible haha

Finally found the pre wiring for the fog lights 'under the bumper'. If anyone else was also having trouble finding them, they are actually taped up behind the headlights. Might be easier to see them by popping the hood, stand in the middle of the truck and look down and just above the fog light covers back taped against what I think Rich described was the radiator support. I'll upload a few pics but it was tough to get a good shot of it. Might help someone else who was having trouble finding the wiring, too. Let me know if this is the correct wiring or if I'm completely off haha.

I have the fuse under the hood already in place as well. Looks like the V6 Tacomas are all ready to go, just need a relay, switch and fog lights if anyone else is in a similar position as me. Thanks for all the help!
