I was looking at the Toyota maintenance guide for our 2011 4Runner (4.0 V6) and noticed the iridium plugs are not scheduled for replacement until the 120K mile marker. I know iridium plugs are long life but that seems to be pushing it out very far. I also own a 98 Tacoma and a 2015 Tacoma. I have been changing the regular NGK plugs in the 98 on 50K intervals. Makes me a little nervous since there have been horror stories about plugs locking up in the heads. I'm at the 57K mark now and decided to check them. So I pulled one to inspect. There was a bit of carbon on the threads which made it a little sticky felling coming out. The electrode looked to be OK.

Who out there with the 5th Gen 4Runners have been holding to the 120K interval? Any trouble with removal at that time?
