    Hey guys!

My first post here. All the information I've been reading/learning here is great stuff!
    I own a 2010 Tacoma TRD sport SR5 Double Cab/Long Bed.

Looking to make some modifications to it. I will admit, mostly for ascetic reasons, however I don't want to make the changes the wrong way. Would rather spend the money to do it right, but do not need serious off-road performance.

The changes I'd like to make are as follows:

    Tires: 285/70/17 (BFG's T/A K02)
    Wheels: Fast Wheels HD Reactor

    Questions:
Where I am unsure is the best way to lift vs. level the truck?
I don't want to lift it more than 3" total however I have heard/read many different opinions on the matter.
Is there a certain amount of lift I need just to fit the 285's? I understand I may need to remove some material to stop some rubbing.
To handle the extra weight of the larger tire should I be looking to change the suspension also?

I have seen other trucks with these "RC kits" on them and I like how the end result looks, however they just seem really cheap....

A local shop is recommending I just level the truck with a pro-comp setup?

Also any cons to adding wheel spacers to this wheel/tire combo to give it a wider stance?

Would love to hear your guys thoughts or anything else I should be considering!
    Cheers,
    Pete

    Thanks @Rock Lobster

It sounds like many guys use the 5100's.
This may be a stupid question, but should they be used just on the front? Then block up the rear to avoid the "bro-lean"
