    Hello
I need an idea of what would be the best wheels and tire size to my soon to be lifted 08 tacoma. Im going for a front 3" lift with a rear 2" lift. My taco is a just a RWD and Im only going mainly for the looks. I dont plan to do any off-road but Im seeking for a mean look. Whats good ? Oh another thing I onky have $1500 - $2000 @ the most to spend. Pictures are welcome thanks

I was on a budget too. I spent about $1400 over the course of a year on wheels, tires, and a lift. Installed it myself to save on cost. Hope this info helps... IMAG0543.jpg These are 17 inch OEM trail wheels on a 3 inch lift with 265 70 r17 tires. Still has plenty of power. No rubs. It works for me. Truck sits a lot higher. The other pic was with a lift but stock wheels and tires. 265 65 r16

The tires are bout this much bigger. Not a great pic, but they're noticeably larger.

Lots here will tell you 285/70r17 with a 3" lift and while that will be fine for some, you'll need spacers up front so the tire doesn't rub the UCA with stock offset rims. With spacers, the tire then rubs the cab mounts. It will typically also rub the fender liner.

265/70r17 is a safe size that won't rub and isn't too ridiculously heavy (unsprung weight is harder to accelerate). I run 265/75r16 and go offroad quite a lot.
