2008 squishy brakes and emergency brake and ABS lights are on. Too dangerous to drive. Any clue on what might be going on?

Check brake fluid, was there any brake work done prior to this issue? Possible air in lines

    The emergency brake is mechanical.
There is no fluid pressure involved in its operation.
If the E-brake is not working, it’s out of adjustment, the cable is broken, and/or you have have leaking line or wheel cylinder(this will cause the e-brake to be grossly out of adjustment)

Inspect the brake fluid. (Do this first)
Scan the truck, and see what code(s) you have.
    Inspect the brake lines
Inspect the the brake components (remove wheels)

no. It started all of a sudden! It was fine and then the brake pedal went to the floor. I was lucky to get home… I’ve left it sitting in the driveway waiting to have the money to fix it - when I started today those lights were on…

    check your brake fluid level
You may have a leak, fill it up, then look for the leak and fix the issue

do you live in a northern state?

Then you likely have a rusted brake line
Fill the reservoir and pump the brake pedal while someone looks for the fluid coming out. Should be obvious if it’s a decent leak. Don’t drive it until it’s fixed…

Master cylinder, where you add brake fluid under the hood right by the drivers side.
