I have a 2015 Tacoma and I love it with the V6, just turned over 100,800 miles.

My neighbor who rarely talks to me just purchased a 2006 Tundra V8 with 255,000 miles! He is one of those guys who buys stuff and Never checks the history or anything. So what besides frame rust is he looking forward too with this high mileage truck?

Not a whole lot honestly. The rust is one of the main killers. Other than that, just common maintenance on an 18 year old vehicle. Those trucks were pretty solid since it was the end of the run of that generation.

Those trucks have a timing belt instead of a timing chain. They should be replaced every 90,000 miles. If you push one too far and the belt breaks while driving it the engine is probably toast. And it isn't cheap to do it. But as long as you stay on top of that those trucks are just about indestructible.
