I’ve always wanted a Tacoma and one recently got put up for sale, listed at $19,000CAD.

It has 260,000km on it. Owner says frame is good and has been inspected.

It’s Wrapped matte black, Rear shocks, steering rack, and lower control arm bushings have all been replaced.

How long does this truck have left? What would the Maintenance be like over the next few years and how much would it cost?

And lastly, is this a fair asking price? I would like to not spend over 15k.

I’ve heard to stay away from the 2006 year cause of rusting on the frame?

I depends. If it is a late model 06’ with the better head gaskets. It should last longer than an early model.

FWIW, I wouldn’t take anyones word on frame or parts condition.
Inspect it yourself, if you don’t know what you’re looking for, pay a local shop to inspect it for you.
2006 trucks aren’t in any warranty (not even the frame). Better to pay a little up front on an inspection, than $19k on a truck that falls apart.
