    Hello all,

I think I may have caused this problem myself but haven't been able to figure it out:

    Truck: 2006 Tacoma 4WD 4.0L extended cab

A week ago I ran a power wire for the stereo from the engine compartment fuse box to get rid of alternator noise. Stereo works great, problem solved. Today, I had to drive in the early morning for the first time since and found that the headlights don't turn on at all - no high, no low, no indicator on the dash. Signal & running lights all work fine.

I'm assuming (hoping) that I knocked a connector loose while routing the wire and messing with the stereo & amp, but I've been looking everywhere and can't find anything that isn't connected. I tried finding a wiring diagram but none of the ones online have the same wire colors as mine and it's hard to tell if I'm looking in the right areas. All I was able to test was that the headlights are not receiving power and that all the fuses are fine.

Does anyone have any tips on where to look and what to look for? Or where to find the correct wiring diagram? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Headlights are controlled by the Body ECU via the HEAD Relay and DIM Relay, there are 4 fuses for the headlights (HEAD (HI LH) (10A), HEAD (LO LH) (10A), HEAD (HI RH) (10A), & HEAD (LO RH) (10A)).

The Headlight switch provides a Ground input to Pin 17 (Pink) of the Body ECU to turn the headlights on, the Body ECU is located on the back of the interior fuse box.

You may want to check that Connector IJ1 above the right kick panel is plugged in.

    Thanks!

That gave me a good starting point, and I finally narrowed it down to connector B5(A) on the back of the Body ECU being loose. All fixed now.
