I bought a 2006 and it had a replacement bed. I have the fuel door but it does not have the hinge.
Ive been searching for a few months, and I cannot even find a part number for it. (rockauto, autopartscity, ebay) I have had no luck on any online site. Any ideas?

Thanks Johnathan. I just emailed my local dealer and got a rough estimate for $38 uninstalled, $41 installed. Thats a no-brainer.

It comes unfinished. There is a paint store near me that uses the vin and will mix a rattle spray paint can for $20. I've used them before and the paint is a dead match. Once I get the part and paint, I'll post some pics.

Remember, keep the hinge lubed with a silicone spray atleast every few months. The hinges dry out.

I ordered a new door and rivets yesterday and got it today. $45 including tax. I went to a paint store called finish master to have them mix up a rattle can of paint for $20 that I'll get tmrw. For me it was Toyota 3p1. I threw a light coat of DuPont self etching automotive primer on it after washing it with soap and water. It will need sanding and another coat of primer because I'm an idiot and used a rag to clean it.
I'm only posting this to maybe help other people that have the common problem of a rusty fuel door hinge. I'll post more pictures of the paint and install this weekend

Anyone had the plastic piece that the hinge clips to break because mine broke off somewhere between refueling. Does the dealer sell them?

I got mine from the dealer. Get the PN online and take into the dealer. Or order it from Norwalk Toyota in Cali.

I did not expect good results from a rattle can paint job on my new door so I removed the hinge from the new door and installed it on the original painted door. Same door, new hinge!

Just use a flat screwdriver and pry the tabs open only far enough to remove. (2 places)
( Duck bill pliers to squeeze it back together.

On mine, 1 of those tabs on the door is what rusted and broke. I have a local auto body shop that owes me favors, so I got the new door painted for free.

    Fixnfly..

On older post about fuel door you mentioned..
Just use a flat screwdriver and pry the tabs open only far enough to remove. (2 places) (Duck bill pliers to squeeze it back together.)

Can you share picture or explain more details how exactly you did it to use existing door.
The fuel door on my truck lower part of hinge is broke. This weekend I'm going to pull the door off and look closer.
I really want to use existing door so I don't have to paint. Any new paint I think would be noticeable.

    Thanks,
    -Mark
