    Hi everyone,

Gauge cluster in my 2005 Toyota tacoma v6 4x4 sh*t the bed and the only replacement I could find in a pinch was from an early 2006 tacoma model. Everything seems to work except there is a "low tire pressure" indicator light on and I know my 2005 does not have the sensors. Does anyone on here know a resource for a gauge pin diagram for a 2006 v6 4x4 or does anyone know of a method to get rid of the idiot light?

    Thank you in advance.

A total pinout would take a bit of time.
But we can get you close.
Hang tight while I look up some diagrams.

Take the clear cover off the gauge cluster and remove the needles taking special care to note the position that they were with key on and key off. Take a pic of them if you have to. With the needles off you can remove the gauge face plate. Find the hole that the LED lives for the TPMS light. Place a small piece of electrical tape into the hole where the led is then place another piece of tape over the entire hole. Place the face plate back on and needles but dont put the clear plastic on yet. Plug the cluster in and turn the key on. Adjust needles as needed before putting plastic cover back on. I did this with my truck.

2006 model uses pin 23 of the C9 connector for the TPMS light.
On your 2005, that pin was not used. (You have no TPMS)
I'd take a look and see if there is a wire in spot 23 of the C9 connector?
Something is providing a ground the the TPMS LED. You need to kill the ground.
You can't kill the power. The power also powers the other dash lights.

TPMS light is reverse biased so it requires a ground to turn off the light.

So that's what the "Reverse" means?

So, adding a ground wire to pin 23 should kill the light?
