2005 5 spd manual base model cup holder

Hello, I am in desperate need of a semi legitimate cup holder. There is an oval shaped compartment on the passenger side of the shifter that seems like it should be a cup holder, but instead of having cup holder inserts it is just empty with a rubber floor. Can anyone tell me if the rubber cup holder inserts that are often seen going into the center console below the dash on automatic trucks would fit in this area? thanks in advance!

 

How can you not find a cup holder in these trucks? You must have a regular cab?

Go on e-bay and get one of those seperaters, or whatever they'er called.

 

I have a 2011 reg cab manual and it came with the rubber cup holders in the spot you are talking about, right next to the shifter. I bought mine used though so maybe the guy before me added them.

 

Older 2nd gens (yours) had a little plastic piece with two adjustable arms that slides down onto the ribs on the sides of the compartment to hold cups. The newer ones have two molded rubber (non-adjustable) inserts instead. Personally I hated the older type I had in my 06, love the rubber ones now in my 11.
