Does anyone have a link to a video tutorial on how to replace the valve cover gasket on a 4 cylinder 2004 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner? I can only find tutorial for the V6 models. I also need torques specifications for the valve cover bolts.

    Thank you in advance

I just did this in February on my 2003 2.7 liter. You will need to order the gasket, spark plug tube seals, and the grommets for under the valve cover bolts. I would also order the throttle body gasket and maybe PCV gasket and PCV. If you haven't replaced plugs recently this would be the time to do it. Be prepared for the gasket material to be hard as a rock. You will need to carefully pry out spark plug tube gaskets from the valve cover after you take it off.

You should be able to find videos and torque specs for valve cover. I forgot what they are. I have a small torque wrench that worked perfect for torquing them down. Its very light pressure. When I took the old bolts out they were hand tight as the gasket shrunk and was like hard plastic. This was after 218,000 miles.

Here is the valve adjust video if you didn't find it. I am sure he shows valve cover removal/install. Besides, you may want to consider adjusting the valves depending on your mileage/history.
