My parking brake has keep getting looser, and I pulled a drum off to check the adjuster and the adjustment plate was not contacting the star nut of the adjuster screw at all. I referenced this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/changing-rear-brake-shoes-with-mediocre-pics.287617/
but I cannot see what is different with my drum. I did replace shoes some time ago so it is probably something I did wrong. I went ahead and replaced my adjuster plates (P/N: 47644-35040, 47643-35040) thinking that my old plates were bent, but no such luck. Any ideas? Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It looks like your missing the spring that keeps the lever against the star wheel adjuster .

It might have been gone when you did the brakes or you just forgot to install it.

The side of the star that the lever is on (inboard/outboard) depends on which side the e-brake cable comes in the hub...because that has to oppose the e-brake lever in there....

here's one like mine and yours.....

Thanks for the responses, I went back in and made the adjustment where the lever goes under the adjuster fork and that fixed the problem!

I watched the video and unless I am missing something their lever is a little different. The tension spring on mine connects to a little hole on the lever (pic from the tundra thread):
If I am still missing something let me know though, it drove well yesterday and the brakes stayed in adjustment so I'm hoping that did it.

I think this might show a little bit of what you’re looking for.
    This is driver side.

Yes, 95-00 my mistake. I appreciate the help. The two different styles of drums threw me for a loop.

I do not know that. I never looked at the Tundra/Sequoia setup tbh
