2004 Tacoma Base or SR5?

Thanks for posting the picture of the sticker: I didn't realize they were that much money back then: That's a lot of money.

And we are talkiing about a Co. that didn't even have a name for the truck model until 1995. I'm surprised they even had options.

 

I didn't know two-tone paint was still an option back then... Was it only available on an SR5? How much? I thought that was all gone by the mid-sixties (except for Oldsmobile's, El-Dorado's and Buicks.)

 

Yup, my base 2004 Single Cab had painted bumpers, no power windows, no cruise, automatic 2.7l.

 

Just like my 1964 GTO was titled as a Tempest, because the GTO was considered an option package at that point.

Made parts shopping a bit tricker for a while, particularly since nothing was computerized and there was no internet.

But it really helped out with insurance costs. I mean how bad can a Tempest be?

 

It originally was all gold. It was painted black at some point in the past.
