I’ve been looking at the pictures of the Toyota v6 engines. So here goes I did a 04 v6 engine swap to 06 Tacoma engine. My original engine has a 2 wire cam sensor( I call them cam sensors Toyota calls them vvt sensors).the 06 engine has 3 wire sensors. Starts but will not stay running with no codes.oh I put the 04 sensors in the 06 engine,it’s my understanding that I can swap my 04 cam phasers to the 06 engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what the question is here?
The 04 4Runner 4.0L uses different cam sensors than 05-15 Tacoma's as you have already discovered.
The cam reluctor profile (part on the phaser that the sensor reads) is also different between them.
I'm asuming your asking if the phasers will interchange, I'm not sure but I would assume they would.
