Hi, sorry if this has been asked a trillion times. But it seems like there are many different sub models for tacoma and I'm a bit lost couldn't be sure of parts diagram was for my specific tacoma.

My dad's tacoma needs new rear shocks.
    It's a 2003 Tacoma, SR5 TRD V6 and his wheels have 6 lugs. 4x4

Does anyone know the part numbers for the shocks? The left and right are different lengths correct?

I was going yo buy Bilstein 4600 but only one seller on Amazon and I got spooked bya forum post saying there were fakes on amazon and seller is semi-new.

I then went to rockauto and am looking at rancho and KYB...but again only a few products say left or right in fitment guide so just want to make sure I'm buying the right ones.

Just looking to get a comfortable ride on paved roads for my dad.

    Thanks!

When shopping Amazon I don't buy from marketplace (3rd party) sellers unless they are known retailers. You should be able to go to any of the shock manufacturer websites and input your Dads Tacoma info and get the part #'s for that application.

The shocks will be the same for all 6 lug, doesn't matter if it's v6, TRD, SR5, none of that matters.

Mine is an 03 extended cab, you can see the part numbers on the boxes here and yes there is a left and a right. Got mine from suspensionlifts.com as a full assembled coilover front and rear set, best price I found anywhere at the time (probably still is.)

Note this is a stock configuration, no intended lift. OEM's are no longer available and this is the closest you'll get to stock.

So I ordered the bilstein 4600s off autozone but the order kept getting "delayed" and now one of them got cancelled. So I ordered the cancelled one from Amazon but that's going to take 2 weeks...and the other one from autozone just showed delayed...

I saw 5100 on rockauto... But they don't look right. One of the rears look straight and the other one is curved? But they're both listed as rear...

I'm looking at the ranchos on rockauto. Does anyone know the part numbers for those?

    I only see one rs5000x part#rs55319

There should be another size for the rear when using these, right?

    Thanks

Rancho are garbage compared to Bilstein 5100.

Rockauto is legit. Sometimes the pictures don’t match the actual part. Just make sure that it’s the correct part number and you should be okay.
