    144k Miles. Asking price: $13,800.

    Location: South Florida

**"**Super clean no rust. Frame is perfect. My personal truck." - Seller

I want to offer 10K Cash. Keep in mind this would be a owner to buyer transaction and No dealership will be involved. What do you guys think would be a fair price in todays market lol. SOUTH FLORIDA.

Also, purchasing to build. Here's an idea of what I can see this baby rebirthing too. I want to go with a camper so that I can camp out of it with my dog whenever I go mountain biking or exploring a new city that I'm too cheap to buy a hotel in. Oh and maybe get a little muddy and not have to worry about damage. I know these things can run for miles if taken care of properly.

Oh I forgot I now have a 2019 ToyotaTacoma TRD Sport (last pic). I love it! But, I don't love Dem payments. Those things are hefty. Almost 700+ on Payments and insurance. Which is not a big deal. I can afford it I just rather invest that money or mod the F out of this 2002 Toyota Tacoma.

um. I was in the market for a 1st gen for months. finally got one a month or so ago... if the frame was good on this one, id be all over it. id be surprised if this thing was for sale longer than 24 hours.

edit... If I had the patience and time id literally buy this thing, fly to pick it up, drive it back to colorado, list it for 17000, and have a buyer over night.

The first person to speak a number usually loses.

Ask what the lowest cash price is he'll take. Then go down from there.

Reach a price contengient on a professional inspection (at your cost) that includes a compression and leak down test, computer scan, brake exams, etc.

Anything findings allow you to walk, attempt to renegotiate price, or conclude your deal.

Expect to spend a couple grand to baseline it if you buy.

But you need to move quickly and you need to have the max you are willing

What engine and trans, is it Prerunner, 4x2, or 4x4? Any maintenance records, etc.

If it's 4x4 and there are no mechanical issues, I'd offer him $10,500 and see how he reacts. If it's as good as it looks, he's gonna have options, so make a deal, or forget about it.

I will be seeing it tomorrow and take pics. I just want to get an idea of what the market is like or what the value is. I'm aware prices are high ATM.

If the frame is as good as the seller states, runs well, and up to date on maintenance, it is worth 13.8. Potentially more. Crazy market, low mileage 1st gens are getting harder and harder to find.

yeah.... im surprised its still for sale if it is. I made dozens of offers over asking for a first gen, willing to fly to get one, and they sold right under me in the matter of minutes. I was lucky to find one an hour away and told him id give him exactly what he's asking if it looks good when I get to his place. I tried to haggle when I was there because tires were bad and the valve covers had some leakage... he said pay asking or beat it, there's 20 people in line willing to buy.

Sounds about right. Some dealers are even doing “market adjustments” on used vehicles. Market is crazy stupid.

OP, buy that thing if it’s legit. If not, let this thread know. One of us will be on a plane to go grab it :D
