I need to replace my fuel tank because it’s leaking at the seam due to rust. I’m getting a lot of conflicting information on which tank will fit the standard cab. I have the tank removed from the truck and it looks exactly the same as the Spectra TO31B but have been told the TO31B fits an extended cab. I’m hoping someone on here knows which tank fits a 2001 standard cab 4X4 or if I could get length, width, height measurements of someone’s fuel tank with an extended cab to see if it’s the same as the standard cab tank. Thanks in advance!

I agree. I’ve only ever seen 2 different size/capacity tanks listed. I think some of them have different configurations for the hook up to the fuel pump and fill neck etc… The Toyota dealer says my VIN number calls for part number 7700104070 to be used with RZN161 option which I assume is the option code for standard cab. The Spectra TO31B number crosses to Toyota part number 7700104090 to be used with RZN171 option. 65B64E40-EF8B-4271-8995-7A14A95F440E.jpg5623EAD7-3384-4FC2-AEFF-190D2FAD7E5E.jpg

These tanks came in two options as a 16 gallon and 18 gallon I think.
So make sure the gallons are the same tank for matching everything else

Pretty sure all of the 4x4 models got the 18.5 gal tank. The 18.5 gallon Spectra tanks are the TO31B and TO31C.
I used the T031C when I replaced my tank last winter, looks like the only difference between the two is the rollover valve on the T031C. T031B should be the right part for your truck.

No, not true, I ended up with the 16 gallon tank 4x4, 3.4, some how,
I think the difference is the height is different and the length is the same

I found this information on TW. It’s interesting there are so many different part numbers.
