I need to replace the cront end body parts incl. Bumper, hood, fenders, lights, signals, grill, etc. on my 2001after an accident. Can anyone tell me which models are compatible with my 2001 trd dc?
For example, can I use parts from another cab type or a prerunner?
    Thanks

01-04 Prerunner and 4x4 share all of the same body panels that you mentioned regardless of body style.

That is really good to know...
How about different cab styles? Is the dc trd the same as the other cab styles forward of the front doors for the exterior body?
    How about different engine configs?

Different cab styles is what I meant by different body styles. Everything forward of the doors is the same on prerunners and 4x4. Doors change from cab style to cab style. Some are interchangeable but I'm not sure which are compatible.

    Thanks...
How about between 4x4 and different engines and non prerunners?

Doesn't matter - all the same parts from the doors forward. The grills might be a little different on the 5 lug models, but that's not a prerunner or 4x4 which both have 6 lugs per wheel.

We are both in the LA area - any suggestions about where to go for the parts? It is work truck so they don't have to be pristine if tbey are at the right price

Craigslist is my go-to for that stuff. If you're patient and have enough time to scour LA, OC, SD, and IE areas, you can get some great deals on oem parts. There's always eBay, but you pay at least 50% more typically for oem parts. If you're not picky about fit and finish you can order aftermarket grills and headlights. TYC is a brand most people get when they don't want to pay for oem headlights (you can find them on Amazon as well as eBay). Aftermarket body panels are a steal if you're able to paint them correctly (starting with epoxy primer) yourself. Craigslist always has the best deals though - you can find oem parts in great condition for cheap when the right part out / parts come up. If you need doors I'd wait until the right ones come up on Craigslist.

Other than that there's this site:

    http://www.car-part.com/

But you'll pay a premium for buying from a salvage yard. Cal Mini Truck near Pomona has some good info - ask for Mike - he's the most knowledgable one I've come across and he's polite. That's if you need to line up something in a hurry and want someone to search for the parts.

Here's some OEM headlights but they're in Fontana.
