Since I need a new IAC (~$250) and my throttle bore/plate doesn't match very well, I decided to find a new throttle body which can be purchased from some Toyota parts places for $350 and up.
The problem I am having is that the # stamped on my TB is 62260 1A08. When I check using my Vin# 5TEWN72N31Z785211 they come up with part# 22210-62250 and show 22210-62260 as discounted.
I have done some research and it shows that my TB (62260) is a California spec with cruse control and 62250 (from the pictures) looks identical but states "without cruse control". Now, I can live without cruse but will the non CA throttle body run correctly on my CA truck?

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
If cruise control is the only difference you should be fine.

Your sure the IAC comes with a new throttle body??

What is wrong with your IAC?

Why not repair the Throttle Body??

Yes, these are complete assemblies IAC, TPS, dashpot etc.
My IAC moves freely from center to wide open but will not move in the closed direction, it isn't like there is junk in the way, it hits a solid stop. If I connect 12v to pins nothing happens.
This whole thing started by finding out that the complete throttle body was a little over $100 more than the IAC ...why not go with new? (except I can't find the part.)

What's the goal with replacing the TB?

Do you think you have a high idle because the butterfly valve doesn't shut completely?

Cause I can tell you that my TB has a small gap which lets light through there, and that was not the cause of my high idle. I think the notion of a perfectly sealed butterfly valve isn't exactly a requirement, and I would think that a considerable gap would have to be present for that truly to be the cause.

I'd suggest eliminating all the other cases before you throw money at a new throttle body. Even then- send it to MaxBore and get it repaired.

Clean the MAF, replace all your vacuum lines (including the line to the brake booster), inspect the brake booster (the diaphragm can leak), Remove the IAC and clean the TB, Clean the IAC separate and test it via the FSM (Timmy has a video), and reinstall it with a new gasket.

And then the thing about the idle that you need to keep in mind, is that it's always high at start up until the truck has reached operating temperature, and provided you aren't running the A/C, or other items which might increase the load on the engine. Also, you'll need to reset the ECU after any of the cleaning/replacing that you do, and it will take time for the checks to run, and the ECU to settle into the clean parts. IE, it won't magically drop just by replacing the TB alone.

If you're hoping that just spending the money and replacing the parts will be a quick fix, you'll likely be disappointed, as any of the previously mentioned items can play a role in the overall idle scheme of things.

Edit: and in my case, after doing all that.. my throttle cable was too tight. So check that as well.
