Have you tried searching? There have been several threads covering this, even some in the last week.

Most will recommend the certified housings on rock auto.

They are projectors, the beam pattern is much safer then stock. I run 55w bi xenon in my truck.

I believe that’s the high beams. I have bx headlights and the cutoff doesn’t aim that high. Totally worth the money though one of the best upgrades I did.

Good to know. If the low beams looked like that, that would have been a crap ton of wasted money.

I've gone through 2 sets of headlamps from Rock auto. The first set was TYC with the fluted lenses, and the beam pattern was complete shit. My stock headlamps that had 280K miles on them at the time had better pattern and greater light output.

So then I got the Anzo set from rockauto (no longer listed) that have the clear lens and use the mirror reflector to focus, but I've been having problems lately with them going out of aim, where I have to readjust them every couple of months. The housing is also loose and can be moved slightly by just pushing on it (probably why they keep going out of aim). This weekend I am going to try and add some washers to the mount points to see if that tightens up any play. Other than that, the beam pattern and light output is great. I just wish they would stayed pointed at where you aim them.

However, if the washers don't work, I was looking for a third alternative to try. These BX lights look good, although a bit pricy (but actually not that much more than going to the dealership). It may be worth it just to pay up the $$$ to get some headlines I don't have to constantly fk with.

Try sticking a small piece of butyl on the adjusters. Or wherever you can jam something in there. It's like a rubberized putty/glue that doesn't dry. But it's great at holding stuff in place.

I ended up swapping my original adjusters onto the aftermarket lamps.

Thank you, I'll try that tomorrow when I mess with them again.

Also, I didn't know the adjusters were changeable. I didn't keep my stock housing, wish I had now.

My lights were so oxidized I couldn’t see like 10 feet in front of me. He constantly has some sales although $500 is expensive for headlights. If you decide to go with bx they come with detailed instructions and his customer support is great.

$500 isn't a lot compared to the cost of components used if they are quality. Good HID bulbs are over $100 alone. The problem with the 98-00 headlights is there isn't much for quality housings. The last set I bought for retros lasted less than a year when the lenses started to peel and crack. Might not be an issue in SoCal where there aren't seasons but if you deal with high heat or hot/cold climate cycles it might be an issue.

Here's a picture of my Tundra with BX lights. It'll give you a good idea what it'll look like.

Looks great, is that 5k 35w? I have 4300k 55w and it looks pretty similar
