Anybody thinking of putting 20 inch pro tundra wheels on their tacoma or should keep the 16 inches wheels

Do you not like having sidewalls? Could look good.

Is that your black Tacoma? I see sliders on it. Nothing worse off road than a 20” inch rim.

He could get a massive lift and put super fat tires on there still...

Will they fit on the rear drums?

I'm not sure why Toyota is equipping the Pro Tundra eith 20s. F150 Tremor and Raptor get 18s from the factory. GMC AT4 might be available with 20s. I think Siverado Trai Boss and ZR2 both get 18s.

My first question would be WHY? Is your truck just around town, modified for looks, etc? If so (and really, no judgement), then I think it could be a neat look (I generally don't like oversized wheels on trucks, but this is a bit more subtle than most would be). If you're going to actually try to get the most out of the off-road capabilities of the truck, then you're swimming upstream with a larger wheel and shorter sidewall. However, as stated in a prior post, maybe you're planning on putting 38's on your Taco or something, and that might be the point the wheel size starts to even out a bit relative to the off road performance (didn't science that up or anything, but I would say around a 38" tire you would start to get enough sidewall to flex for ya on 20's).

The 2023 Tundra TRD PRO comes with 18” wheels, not 20” which I think is available on other trim levels. You can see by zooming in on the tire on your first picture it’s a 285/65 R18. So I think that it would look pretty good if you’re not hardcore rock crawling where you need a massive sidewall. My dad was thinking about putting those on his 5th gen 4Runner since they’re BBS wheels which is an old German wheel company with lots of Motorsport history.

I wanna trade my TSS rims for some 18" black Toyota rims. Semi gloss or matte.

I have one of these wheels inbound for R&D, 18 x 8.5", Part # PT960-34220-2F. Retail is $830, can be purchased for under $600. The center bore @ 95mm, offset @ 47.5mm, and backspacing of a pinch over 6.5" will require a yet unavailable adapter/spacer to fit up to the 106mm hub. Also requires the larger lugs for the 14mm studs. They are forged by BBS in their Japanese factory, so if you need a tough 18" wheel, this could work with the right adapter.

20 inch rims? No. I tow an off road travel trailer out in the boonies. Sidewall strength is big for me.

The best part is that he left the air damn on.
