Howsit guys. I'm thinking of converting my 2012' DCLB TRD Sport 4x4 into a 2-tone color scheme like the 3rd generation 4Runner and LandCruiser by swapping out my bumpers and flares with another factory color. I did it on my 06' AC 4x4 and thought it looked really good:

My 06' was silver and black (with partial vinyl wrap)

I want to do it in either white/silver or white/grey or white/black

What do you guys think would look better?

    I would say the white/silver.
I have silver/magnetic gray on mine, but the MGM is a little too dark and looks black. I don't like the black for two-tone.
Instead of silver maybe a darker gray but not quite MGM.

Another member on here had white/gold which I really liked.

Good point b. I was parked next to a MGM yesterday and was thinking it may be too dark as well. The new Silver Sky color is a bit darker than the previous (lighter) silver.

Yes, especially lower on the body where the road is reflected and makes it even darker. Up on the top parts of the body where it reflects more light I love MGM, which is why I chose it, but I wish I had used something a little lighter.

yeah the bottom is bed liner that up top is just platidip, i had some clearcoat bubbling up so i did both sides on the top of the fender to cover the bubbles, to each their own i guess i've gotten more complements on the bedliner than anything else on my truck i would say

Mine is 1st Gen, but it will give you an idea. As you can see the MGM looks almost black. I would pick a lighter color if I had to do it again - something halfway between the silver and MGM.

White and silver may be a little too subtle. Here's my white truck with a silver cap. In some light, it almost matches.

I voted none. The last two tone vehicles that I thought looked good were the S10s of the 80s up to the 90s.

My Dad had a 1991 S10 2.8 5 speed black silver black that looked awesome

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
Your truck looks so badass just the way it is now, I don't think the two tone would look better.

2 tone looks like rape. Sorry. It reminds me of 90's Chevy pickups. Why not get some pinstriping, too?

Two-tone looks O.K. on certain vehicles...but not a truck. JMO.
