Anyone here ever done 2 tone paint on there tacoma? or a wrap like this? I am debating on if I really want to do this or not.. The sun down here in Florida is brutal to dark colored vehicles, even with waxing. I know its worse in other states, like California where seeing over 100 is some what normal. left my last truck parked in central California for a 8 months while on a deployment and clear on roof was gone in some spots.

I married my tacoma likes this.

Wax is #1 a highly outdated product and #2 is a poor product to use on cars with a lot of heat exposure. The wax melts off pretty quickly.
Go for a high quality paint sealer. It will last 6 months rather than 2 weeks like a wax.
Polish the truck yearly to keep the paint from looking faded.
UV damage is easily avoided with the right products.

What kind of a wrap or two tone are you looking at? Like a rocker panel type deal or something more custom?

I'd love to wrap my truck but it looks like a pain in the ass and it's expensive to get it done professionally

I would be looking at having it done professionally either way. I would like to have the flat (horizontal) surfaces in something like a pearl white possibly, not really sure at this point. So basically from just above the grill wrapping around sides just below windows. leaning towards the wrap cause it can be removed to have factory paint still underneath.

not so much bush for this truck.. only a prerunner.. and mostly mud down here in Florida.. sees way more boat ramps than trails.

With that 2-tone, the bottom in Line-X or Rhino would be pretty cool. Just can't get it off if you change your mind..

If you two tone it your resell will be hurt and most body shop paint jobs are not as good as factory. You can always remove wrap...but if it's only on half way down the door you will have a fade line if you remove it after it's been on for a long time.
