Hey guys new to tacomaworld, but looking for some help with a code. Recently the engine and traction loss (??) light came on in my Tacoma (09 2.7l) plugged in the code reader and its showing the code “P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input (Bank I or Single Sensor)”. From what i can gather its the knock sensor acting up. Just wondering if any of you 2.7 guys had this code and whats your solution? Also Wheres the knock sensor located on the 2.7? Under manifold? Thanks guys

Looks like a pain to get to. Look for mouse chewed wires.

Yes, it is behind and under the intake manifold.

If you are really limber and have enough joints in a ratchet extension you could possible fish it out without removing the intake manifold.

Even removing the intake isn't too bad.

Thanks for the reply guys, only noticed this after the truck sat for about a week. Cleared the code a couple times and took it for a good run, seems to of stopped acting up, strange.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
I had the knock sensor code come up a couple years ago. Cleared and haven't seen it again. Good luck.

If I were you I'd absolutely be checking my engine bay for signs of rodents. They got into mine after it sat for 5 days and made a huge mess of my cabin air intake. They love chewing on the wires because some genius thought it was a good idea to make the insulation out of plant based materials. I wouldn't be surprised if they nibbled on your knock sensor wires. If they are in there, get them out before they do more damage.
