2.7 crank shaft position sensor?

I have spent weeks searching and found nothing on how to replace this sensor or the location. from what I can see from the underside there is a great deal of stuff that needs to be removed for the sensor to come out. everything I could find was for the 6 not the 4. does anyone have a picture of its location?

that information is not correct I have found the sensor now. its behind the ac compressor. it looks like I will have to remove the compressor to get the sensor out.

 

I think the info I pointed you to gave a general idea of CPS location. This may not be much more help, but look anyway. #6 in the diagram.

I would be sure about it before you pull the compressor. That could involve evacuation, etc.

this is the sensor right here. I am going to have to move that compressor out of the way maybe I can just unbolt it and wiggle it around to clear the sensor out.

 

You might want to take a look at this before you pull the plug on the compressor and whatever it is in that vicinity. Expand picture and look at 11301K - lower timing cover drivers side - scroll down to 11301K in parts list - part 9091905059 - CPS

yup that is the location. the pump blocks that. looks like i'm screwed thank you very much for the help

 

I just checked the service manual and it says the same Ac Compressor and bracket needs to be moved for access.
